This first picture is of my friend Keri's son. This little guy is usually into everything but I was able to get him to hold still for this photo. The highlights on the right side accentuate the shadows on the left.
In this picture I used shadows to accentuate the Christmas lights. In my opinion the shadows in this picture are a little over powering and you don't see the other decorations, but I am an amateur photographer and am experimenting with my camera. By the way, my cat, Charlie, is in the picture. Can you find him?
UPDATE: I lightened the shadows on the picture above - it has a different effect doesn't it? Now you can not only see more of the Christmas decorations but you can see Charlie, the cat better. The lights on the tree aren't nearly as impressive this way though. Congrats to those of you who found Charlie before I lightened the photo.

Great photos,.. and I see your cat on the far right, looking like a statue. Good choice for this weeks theme. Thanks for sharing.
That first picture is so sweet! I never did find Charlie -- thought maybe he was in the middle.

I really like the one with the little boy. He sure is cute sitting there. Well done.
What a cutie!
We had to bigify, but we found Charlie!

The little boy is totally precious!! I see Charlie on the right.
Getting to be quite the professional!

Very interesting shot for the shadow theme. Have a nice weekend! http://crizlai.blogspot.com/2007/07/photo-hunters-shadow_14.html
I was sure I saw Charlie on the right, sitting quietly. But in the new photo, he looks like a toy! Now I am soooo confused! I even looked up the tree (where for sure you find my cats).
Very nice photos for this weeks theme, shadows! I liked the lightened version of the Christmas tree and decorations! My photo is up please come and visit
You can see that litle boy thinking, 'Can I move yet? Can I move now, pleeeeease?'
Nice photos.
That is Charlie over to the right... looking like a decoration. He loves to sit on the lights that are on that display. I guess his butt must get cold and the lights warm it up. haha! So many times during the holidays I will suddenly notice that he is there... and has been there for quite some time... just sitting there, pretending to be part of the display. LOL! He is a goofy cat!
Keri's son is a cutie patootie.
