Philosophical questions

Sometimes we have some very philosophical discussions as a family. Just the other day we were discussing the age-old question: "If a tree falls in the forest and there's nobody there to hear it, does it still make a sound?" If that isn't hard enough to figure out, here are a few more impossible questions to answer:
If a tree falls in the forest and a woman isn't there, is it still the man's fault?
If a tree falls on a Tibetan monk, will he break his vow of silence?
If a tree falls in the forest and lands on a mime - will anybody care?

My head is spinning with the endless possible scenarios! Don't even get me started on the "Mommy! Mommy!" ones. We'll save those for another time.

"When Dan falls down the stairs, do they hear it in America?"

Only if they're laughing!

Of course we are laughing. We giggle just thinking about it. In fact, the broken glass, spilled coffee and bleeding appendages just add to our amusement.

Some people have to practice to get good at the physical comedy - others are just born with the talent. You, my friend, are one of the more talented ones. ;-)

You should see me running through a forest... Now THAT is comedy ;)

Don't forget about the toy GI Joe's chasing the squirrels. lol

It's the snake-dodging I have the biggest issue with, poisonous or not!

Here is a quote I saw on a magnet in a souvenier shop in Arizona (!)-
"If a man speaks in the forest, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"

What do you think?? ROFL!

Of course the man is wrong. The man is ALWAYS WRONG!

And of course you would see that magnet with the question on it in Arizona. The heat around here causes lapses in male brain function so men always forget that they are wrong.

The mime can't be hurt by the tree... because the mime is in a protective box, of course!

At least you don't fall UP the stairs, Dan...

...not that I do, of course!!

Christine, you are so witty! Now why didn't I think of the mime being in a protective box? lol

And yeah, I'm sure Dan does fall UP the stairs. lol
